Experience the Next Generation of High-Capacity Sheeting — Live at MAXSON
Maxson Automatic is hosting a Sheeting Technology Open House this April, featuring live demonstrations of three sheeter lines running under power. Attendees will see real production conditions, sustained throughput, and automation in action—headlined by the Next Generation DFK Sheeter, engineered for sustained high-speed production on long, ultra-wide sheet formats; the MDH Sheeter, equipped with an automated splicing system for flexible, continuous operation; and the MSS Pack Discharge Sheeter, designed for one-step roll-to-pack conversion feeding downstream packaging lines.
This open house is designed for converters, mills, and packaging producers who want more than a static display. You’ll experience:

MDH Sheeter — Flexible, High-Performance Sheeting for Converters & Carton Operations
The MDH Sheeter is designed for paper converters and folding carton operations that require nimble production capacity, fast changeovers, and consistent performance. Configurable for fine paper or board production, this dual rotary sheeter can be equipped with productivity-enhancing components that increase output without increasing crew size, making it well suited for mixed-job and variable-run environments.
With a compact, operator-friendly footprint, the MDH incorporates quick-loading roll stands, dancer rolls, decurling units, and web steering to ensure smooth, stable web flow into the cutter infeed. Its precision dual rotary cutting system, featuring easily positioned slitters and a large-diameter draw drum, eliminates length variation caused by “stair cut,” while supporting sheet widths up to 65 inches. Twin solid knife revolvers allow fine blade adjustment, with knife changes completed in less than two hours, helping minimize downtime.
The MDH offers exceptional size flexibility, supporting digital sheet lengths as short as 11″ and ultra-large formats up to 126″. A rugged delivery and stacking system with controlled sheet overlap, air assist, and “tapes over the pile” technology ensures reliable, jam-free stacking—even with lightweight or static-prone sheets. A high-capacity stacker with pile offset allows skid changes without stopping the sheeter, while remote monitoring and diagnostics are available through Maxson Automatic’s customer support team when connected.
Next Generation DFK Sheeter — High-Capacity Sheeting for Mills & Large Converters
The Next Generation DFK Sheeter is designed for mills and large converting operations that demand high production capacity and sustained high-speed production, particularly on longer sheet lengths and ultra-wide formats. Configurable for fine paper or board production, this heavy-duty dual rotary sheeter incorporates productivity-enhancing components that increase output without increasing crew size, making it ideal for large-scale, continuous operations.
Advanced web handling options—including large-capacity roll stands, automated splicing systems, dancer rolls, programmable decurling units, web steering, and splice detection—ensure smooth, continuous web flow into the cutter infeed with minimal operator involvement. The precision dual rotary cutting system, featuring easily positioned slitters and a large-diameter draw drum, eliminates “stair cut” length variation while supporting ultra-wide cutting up to 90 inches and sheet lengths up to 127 inches, across up to six webs.
The DFK’s rugged delivery and stacking system is engineered to maintain sheet control and quality at high speeds. The delivery system features a full-width apron in lieu of traditional tapes, improving sheet stability and enhancing delivery quality into the pile, particularly on long, lightweight, or static-prone sheets. A high-capacity stacker supports pile heights up to 72 inches, while automated pallet discharge and fast changeover design allow size, roll, and skid changes to be completed quickly. Ethernet connectivity enables remote monitoring and diagnostics by Maxson Automatic technicians, helping maximize uptime and responsiveness.
MSS Pack Discharge Sheeter – Built for Specialty Packaging and Digital Markets
The MAXSON MSS Pack Discharge Sheeter is designed for converters serving cut-size and digital format markets, with a strong fit for the specialty food packaging, butchery, bakery, and films industries. Engineered for efficiency, the MSS transforms multiple webs into precise, finished packs and delivers them directly to downstream packaging lines, eliminating secondary handling and reducing labor.
Built for continuous operation, the MSS produces packs ranging from 25 to 1,000 sheets and supports sheet lengths from 5.5″ to 26″. The machine can be outfitted to produce up to 10 piles across a 64″ trim width, maximizing output while maintaining a compact footprint. Finished packs are discharged from a single discharge point, keeping packaging lines consistently fed. Digital drive controls deliver accurate, repeatable cut lengths, supporting consistent pack quality.
In the stacking and discharge area, sheets are counted, stacked, and automatically transferred using an integrated conveyor and lift table system. Once the preset pack count is reached, completed packs are discharged smoothly to the packaging line before the system resets for the next cycle. Safety-interlocked guarding and light curtains protect the operator, while optional cut-to-register capability supports pre-printed materials requiring precise alignment.
