MSS

The MSS Sheeter is designed for small or specialty converting operations as an option to purchasing sheeted stock, requiring a minimal capital investment.  The dead knife cutter has the added benefit that it can sheet up to four rolls simultaneously, offering the capacity to increase production when required.

The MSS Sheeter’s solid revolver and rugged stationary bed knife construction insures trouble free performance on a wide range of materials. With its small footprint, ease of set up and simplicity of operation, the Sheeter is ideal for short runs. Run by a single operator, sheet lengths are preset without any make-ready waste.

As an entry-level sheeter, the MSS’s 6’ x 10’ (2 x 3 m) size requires minimal floor space and utility demands. It can be outfitted with appropriate static eliminating equipment, slitter rig, precision drive and tag inserters to meet the Customer’ specific requirements.

Pack Discharge Sheeter

A sheeter with pack discharge designed for the cut size and digital format markets that continuously delivers reams from a single discharge point is available to converters. Designed for the specialty papers and films industries, the MSS Sheeter can be configured to convert rolls of material into packs of 25 – 1000 sheet count and offload multiple stacks to a packaging line.

Capable of sheeting between 10” – 40” (254 – 1016 mm) lengths and producing up to six piles across a 64” (1650 mm) trim width, the sheeter has a compact foot print – requiring only one Operator. Outfitted with digital drive controls and user friendly Operator console, sheet length is infinitely variable throughout the cutoff range with accuracy within +/- 0.015” (+/- 0.38 mm) of the desired setting.

In the stacking area, sheets are piled on a conveyor that mounts on a scissors lift load table. When the preset pack count is achieved, interposers extend out over the stacking area as the load table drops to the off load position. The extending grid collects the sheets in the jog boxes while the conveyor feeds the packs to a Customer supplied packaging line. When all the reams are discharged, the table raises back into position and the grid fingers retract until the next set of packs are to be offloaded. Safety interlocked guards and light curtains protect the Operator in the stacking area. An attractive option for the preprinted market, the Pack Discharge Sheeter can be outfitted with cut to mark capability. A sensor mounted at the cutter infeed detects the registration mark and can either cut on the spot or a preset distance from that point.
