Sheeter, Carbonless Paper
Converters of carbonless paper and other sensitive materials can precision sheet press ready piles at high speeds without damaging the product in the converting process with the MAXSON MSP Sheeter. It can be outfitted with as many as five shaftless roll stands and an overhead web carrier to keep the incoming webs separated and preventing wrinkles caused by gathering of the material.
The ability to run at higher speeds is attributable to advances in the design of the overlap delivery system. A driven overlap carriage with variable position soft stop rings matches the rate of the slow speed tape section to decelerate sheets by speed and not nip pressure; thereby avoiding damage to the carbonless paper capsules. The MAXSON Airfoil Overlap System provides added braking of the tail end of the sheet packet as they are overlapped. Soft textured conveyor belts avoid burnishing the surface of the paper clips eliminating tape marks.
Capable of stacking loads up to 5,000 pounds (2,270 kilograms) the MSP Sheeter can be equipped with a ‘tapes over the pile‘ design that aids the delivery of the cut packets into the piler. Press ready skids are assured using easily positioned air at the pile that floats the limp material into the jog box.
