Robust construction, precision accuracy and “ice block” pile quality describe MAXSON’s Mill Duty Sheeter

Paper and board mills requiring high production equipment can now be assured of a quality product with the Mill Duty Sheeter from MAXSON AUTOMATIC MACHINERY COMPANY (Westerly RI).  Capable of operating at speeds of up to 1300 fpm (398 mpm), the Mill Duty Sheeter utilizes a unique dual knife rotary cutter design resulting in higher speeds on short cutoffs while providing maximum knife loading that delivers clean, dust free cut quality.

Available in widths of up to 100” (2540 mm), the MAXSON DFK Sheeter can deliver cut offs from 15” – 80” (381 – 2032 mm) long.  Sheet length accuracy of ±0.015” (±0.381 mm) and squareness of ±0.020” (±0.508 mm) is maintained regardless of cutoff or line speed.  Complimenting close tolerance accuracy is the superior cut quality obtained by the easily set dual knife rotary cutter.

For high bulk papers or board grades, the DFK Sheeter can be equipped with a dual slitting station to provide clean slit edges when sheeting multiple webs.  For continuous operation, it can also be outfitted with a count controlled directional gate that diverts sheet flow at full line speed to one of two stacking stations.
